Dhanalakshmi College of Engineering has now grown into a ‘distinguished centre for engineering and technological studies’, providing a serene environment and congenial atmosphere for learning. The institution not only provides quality engineering education to mould the students into technologically sound, efficient, effective, and creative engineers but also moulds them as responsible human beings.
The faculty has been consistently striving to offer conceptual clarity to make the students to be truly innovative and to orient their practical skill sets to live up to their dreams of an engineer in action. The efficient teaching fraternity and the state-of-the-art laboratory facilities are the value additions of this department which offer excellent academic ambience to excel professionally. We are proud to say that our students spend more time in the laboratories than in the classrooms. This kind of a practical approach simply means that they grasp complex concepts at application-based problem solving.
Collaboration With Industry
DCE welcomes all industry partners who seek practicable and pragmatic solutions, and who share and celebrate the entrepreneurial spirit that brings new ideas to life. Together, DCE and industry can make great progress in creating new knowledge, in shaping new leaders and in making important gains against the challenges of our generation. The institution is strong in academic activities and R&D. Good academic knowledge and skills are given to the students but still it is found that they lack in skills what the industry needs currently. Because the industry is up to date in the practical world. So, the industry- institute collaboration will help in exchanging the academic knowledge of faculty and the practical experience of the industry. The academic institution needs skill development and the industry needs academic knowledge. Hence, we are interested in developing good relationship with the industry for exchanging knowledge and practical experience.
By this industry- institute collaboration, academic staff will visit the industry and learn the current skills used by the industry. This experience gained by the faculty will be transmitted to the students. Also, the students will be trained by the experts in the industry. The students will be sent for internship to the companies so that they can gain industry exposure. The industry people will be invited to give guest lectures periodically. This exchange will ultimately help in developing the country both academically and industrially.
