National Unity Day, on 31 Oct 2018

National Unity Day Programme was celebrated in the loving memory of Sri SardarVallabhai Patel, ‘the Man of Unity’ on 31st October, 2018 at Dhanalakshmi College of Engineering, Chennai. The Function was started with an Invocation and lighting of the lamp by the dignitaries at 2.30 P.m. in the EEE auditorium. Dr.K.L.Shunmuganathanthe Principal welcomed the gathering and Mrs. Roopa, the CEO presented the presidential address on the occasion Dr.Sri.A.Kalanidhi former Vice Chancellor, Anna University, graced the National Unity Day Programmeas the Chief Guest. He gave an insight on the importance of being united among one another to the students. He also educated the students on the varied cultural heritage of India. Following this, Mr.ElangoKuppusamy, gave a special address and inspired the students with his wonderful words on Unityand Mr. Ma.Ko.Chi.Rajendran, State organizer, DesiyaSinthanaiKazhagam addressed the students on the significance of developing engineering skills in oneself. Subsequently, the gathering pledged to strive for the National Unity. Finally, the vote of Thanks was proposed by Dr. P. Karthick, HoD, Science & Humanities.. The programmeis ended with the National Anthem.
