Workshop Report on "UML Tools" by Dept of IT, on 28 Nov 2014

Convener Mr.Arul.U, Asso. Prof., HoD / IT Coordinators Mr.Sathish Saravanan.P, Asst. prof. / IT Mr.Veluchamy.M, Asst. prof. / IT The workshop was inaugurated by Dr.S. Sivasubramanian, Principal, DCE. This workshop is intended to provide opportunity for teachers who are working in institutions affiliated to Anna University. This workshop gave an exposure to UML Tools concepts with hands on sessions which would help the teachers to teach this course and lab confidently. This workshop covers the syllabus and exercises provided by Anna University for the course in the undergraduate programme. The session was inaugurated by Mr. Gowthaman.R, Project Leader – Java, Stigmata Techno Solutions, Chennai. He discussed various UML Tools and latest technologies. The afternoon session was hands-on session handled by two expertises from Stigmata Techno Solutions, Mr.SelvaDhilipan.S, Senior Software Engineer and Mr.Kumaravel.K, Senior Software Engineer. The presentation was done by Mr. SelvaDhilipan and the participant learned a lot from him. The hands-on session of Mr.Kumaravel enriched the faculty with more practical knowledge. Overall, it was an excellent interactive session. The workshop on UML tools helped the faculty members from CSE and IT departments of DCE and other Engineering colleges to get more insight with the subject and lab session which in turn will benefit the students. The faculty members from department of IT and CSE thank the management for their support and encouragement.
