FDP on "Design and Analysis of Algorithms" by Dept of IT, on 08 - 12 Dec 2014

Convener Mr.Arul.U, Asso. Prof., HoD / IT Coordinators Mr.Sathish Saravanan.P., Asst. prof. / IT Mr.Veluchamy.M, Asst. prof. / IT The FDP was inaugurated by Dr. S. Sivasubramanian, Principal, DCE. The Vice-Principal Dr.S.Duraiswamy offered his felicitations. The resource person for FDP was Dr. Masilamani V, Assistant Professor, Department of CSE, Indian Institute of Information Technology, Design and Manufacturing (IIITD&M),Chennai - 600 048. He discussed various DAA concepts and latest algorithmic technologies to solve real time problems with reference to the time and space complexity. The participants from various colleges attended this FDP. Some of the topics discussed in the FDP were Fundamentals of Algorithmic Problem Solving, Divide and Conquer methodology, dynamic programming and greedy technique, iterative improvement, coping with the limitations of algorithm power, Knapsack problem, Traveling Salesman Problem etc. The FDP on DAA helped the faculty members from CSE and IT departments of DCE and other Engineering colleges to get more insight into the subject which in turn will benefit the students. The faculty members from department of IT and CSE thank the management for their support and encouragement.
