State Level Cricket Tournament for Blind 2014 Chennai was held at Dhanalakshmi College of Engineering Dr.VPR Nagar , Manimangalam, Tambaram on 5th July 2014. The tournament was sponsored by Chennai Cheshire Home , LC Project Nagapattinam and Cognizant Outreach in association with Rotary club of Dristy. These organizations are working for disabled people and they want to expose the sports skills of visually impaired. This kind of match for visually impaired is conducted for the first time in Chennai. Twelve teams have participated in the tournament and all the players are of various age group. The Match was inaugurated by Dr. V. P. Ramamurthi, Chairman, Dhanalakshmi College of Engineering. The Chairman in his inaugural address has said that the Visually Impaired people should keep more self-confident to achieve anything in their life. The Principal Dr .S.
