DCE Faculty Members Attend Infosys Campus Connect Programme at Trichy, From 29 - 31 May 2017

DCE faculty members, Mr. Janneker Lawrence from the Training and Placement department attended a three-day programme at Saranathan Engineering College, Trichy from 29th May’2017 to 31st May 2017. This programme focused on the requisite skillsets for succeeding in interviews and other selection rounds conducted by reputed companies especially so, with Infosys. Mr. Nivas, the trainer from Infosys conducted the three-day programme which dwelt exclusively on soft skills. On the first day, the expectation settings were discussed at the outset along with insights on Infosys. On the second day, Mr. Nivas, explained the use of the Campus Connect portal for the soft skills programme. The importance of communication skills was relayed to the participants. The group activity saw the participants from DCE make a mark in the event, much to the appreciation of participants from other colleges. The topic presented by DCE was ‘Leadership Skills.’ The last day of the programme revolved around the expectations of the HR from Infosys. It was stressed that importance be given to body language, attitude and behavioural skills for the students. Colleges were encouraged to start training students on communication skills by Campus Connect.
