Tableau Workshop organized by Dept of CSE

The Department of Computer Science and Engineering of Dhanalakshmi College of Engineering, Manimangalam had arranged a ten days workshop in the topic of “Tableau” from 03.06.16 to 15.06.16. The Head of the department Dr Sivasubramanian inaugurated and presided over the workshop. The Primary aim of this workshop was to bring technical knowledge for the faculties up to the speed with the latest developer’s tools & technology that are currently being used by IT field. At the end of the course our faculties was able to install Tableau, import and summarize data, create and manipulate data visualizations, and share visualizations with your colleagues. Elancheliyan, Business Intelligent Engineer, Dell System This workshop was planned and scheduled to address the following: Connecting to a data source Joining related data sources Creating visualizations Displaying the data underlying a workbook Creating custom calculations and fields Sorting and filtering data Adding crosstabs Creating heat maps, charts, and basic maps Building a dashboard The Tableau presents developers with an incredible opportunity to expand the possibilities of application. The session started with introductory speech on Tableau along with practical sessions and also appreciated the participants for showing interest in latest technology.
