Inauguration of QCFI Student Chapter of DCE, on 09 Jul 2016

A one day programme on ‘Implementation of Quality Circles to achieve Institutional Excellence’ was conducted in the DCE campus, on 09 Jul 2016. The Student Chapter of QCFI was inaugurated on the same day. The Principal, Dean (Academics) and Dean(Administration) and all HoDs participated in the programme. Dr. Sanjeeva Rao, the Director of QCFI gave an introduction to Total Quality Management in Education and Deming’s Key Management Principles. Dr. P. R. Nakkeeran, Former Professor of Anna University, and Former Director, Tamil Virtual University talked on the Quality Circle and the working methodology based on PDCA cycle. Pareto Diagram & Cause and Effect Diagram were explained by Sri. T. R. Narasimhan, the Chairman of QCFI. A case study – model presentation was done by Prof. C. Uthayakumar, Secretary of QCFI and Principal, Jaya Engineering College. The programme ended with feedback by the participants, and vote of thanks was given by Mr. JamesManoharan, the Placement Director of DCE.
