Placement Day, on 13 May 2017 at Chinmaya Heritage Center, Chetpet

The joy of getting their son or daughter placed in a company is delightful indeed. It is a feeling that is profoundly poignant which deserves mention everywhere. On the 13th of May 2017, Dhanalakshmi College of Engineering conducted Placement day event at Chinmaya Heritage centre wherein 434 offer letters were distributed to the successful candidates. Mr. James Manoharan, the Placement Department Director welcomed the audience and presented the Placement cell report. It was followed by the introduction of the chief guest by the DCE Dean of Administration Prof. R. Kalavathy. Ms. Hema Gopal, the Vice President cum IBM Global Centre of Excellence Head was the chief guest at this event. In her speech she elaborated upon the necessity for perseverance and flexibility to succeed in the intensely competitive corporate world. She illustrated her points with the help of real world examples gleaned from years of experience. The Chairman of DCE Dr V P Ramamurthi followed up this speech by delivering the presidential address. The CEO of DCE Ms. Roopa Senthil finally gave a special address in which she advised the students to achieve more and not just rest on their laurels. The 4-hr programme came to a close with Mr. Pavan Kashyap, Training and Placement Officer delivering the vote of thanks.
